• Perform a full backup of the device, especially if you have personal data on it.
• Understand whether you are already synchronizing Mail, Calendar or Contacts already, and if so, how. This could be wirelessly through a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) account, via the BlackBerry Desktop Manager over a wire, or possibly through a 3rd party product which you have installed.
• Remove existing synchronization partnerships for any collection you now wish to synchronize with AstraSync.
• Ensure you are in an area with good network coverage, either cellular or Wi-Fi.
• Charge your device battery if it is low.
